First, you begin by enforcing your dominance over the puppy (if you have read any of my other posts you will know I stress this point a lot). Your puppy has to understand who is boss in the early weeks, or you could be signing up for a nightmare. The next time you catch him peeing on the carpet, point to it and tell him firmly ‘Bad boy/girl! No toilet on the carpet!’
